Malta - Double Tax Treaties

The Government of the Republic of Malta and the Government of the Republic of Ghana have signed an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income which have been published by virtue of Legal Notice 23 of 2020. This treaty is the first of its kind between these two countries.


Malta has also recently signed an agreement with Armenia, for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion which have been published by virtual of Legal Notice 28 of 2020.  Both Ministers pledged on expanding their co-operation on trade, economic, agricultural and tourism sectors.


This treaties shall come into effect on such date when it will be published in the Government Gazette.
